12 thick slices Orange Bread(or French Bread)
Zest from 1 medium orange*
3/4 cup fresh orange juice
3/4 cup half and half
4 large eggs
2 TB sugar
1 tsp vanilla
Combine zest with orange juice and half and half add in eggs and whip well, then add in sugar and vanilla ans stir until combined.
Heat a griddle pan to 325 (medium/medium high) and grease well.

Dip each slice of bread in the orange juice mixture and allow to soak for a few seconds, flip to the other side. Then place on the hot griddle.
Cook until browned nicely(5-7 minutes or so, depending on your griddle temp) and gently flip. Cook the other side for another 4-6 minutes until that side is browned as well.
Place on a plate and top with fresh whipped cream and some oranges....I even put on a little bit of 100% maple syrup.
Enjoy!

Then you can juice the orange for the fresh juice!
